The Birdville Independent School District’s Center of Technology and Advanced Learning is a campus dedicated to technology, advanced learning and innovation. Yates Construction provided construction services for the 110,000 SF facility, which is set on nearly fifteen acres. The school houses learning pods centered on various industries such as culinary arts, engineering, and construction technology. The facility provides work-based learning experiences in real-life laboratory settings. Input from local industry partners such as Cisco Systems, Marriott, and North Hills Hospital helped create the specific learning centers for industry, and additionally provided internships and curriculum input. Each business and industry learning center has true-to-life models allowing students to gain working knowledge of their chosen career path.
