Nissan North America – Electric Vehicle Battery Plant
One of three of its kind in the world, this facility supports the production of the world’s first electric vehicle competitive with standard gasoline sedans. The EV Battery Plant includes 9,800 yards of concrete, 380 tons of steel, and a large clean-dry room. Between entering the de-humidification units and leaving the heat recovery wheel, grains of moisture per pound are reduced from 132 to one. The facility is capable of producing thousands of advanced-technology batteries each year.
