Skills and Experience:
Yates Construction is seeking an individual who has experience with client development and relationship management. This person must display the ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships resulting in customer satisfaction. This individual must possess the skillsets needed to assist Yates Construction in identifying strategic opportunities; a strong understanding of risk management; an in-depth knowledge of project life cycles; be results oriented with proven ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to meet deadlines; and provide business intelligence and development through existing owner and consultant relationships.

Requirements:

  • MUST BE LOCAL TO THE DFW METROPLEX
  • Minimum 10 plus years’ experience working in Business Development function
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Advanced degrees in marketing, business management, engineering, and construction are a plus
  • Demonstrated experience developing business in the DFW Metroplex
  • A proven track record in the pursuit and capture of new business
  • Good understanding of the competitive landscape of commercial construction market in North Texas and key players
  • Good communication and presentation skills

Essential Job Duties:

  • Monitor and communicate industry trends
  • Customer development and monitor strategic competitor moves
  • Build and maintain personal relationships with appropriate middle and senior management executives
  • Identify and form strategic partnerships
  • Present Yates’ capabilities and strategy through formal and informal client meetings
  • Identify and gain market intelligence at an early stage
  • Collaboration of strategic pursuits with other business units
  • Work closely with business units to develop detailed win plan for key prospects
