Yates Construction Scheduled to Complete the Nissan Mexicana Plant in Late 2013

Mexico City, August 13, 2013, The first phase of the new Nissan Mexicana plant is almost ready and is expected to start operations by the end of 2013. Nissan announced the new facility in January 2012 and construction began the following June with an expected completion date of February 2014. The carmaker announced in May of this year that construction was ahead of schedule and confirmed recently that the facility will be complete before the end of this year, which is a record for Nissan.

Construction consisted of 200 cubic meters of concrete, 12,000 tons of rods, 16 miles of steel pipelines, 232 miles of cable and wiring, and 7,000 tons of structural steel.
