As a Hall of Fame inductee, Mr. Yates joins an esteemed group of Mississippians recognized for a lifetime of service, including Archie Manning, James Meredith, Governor William Winter, and Senator Thad Cochran.\u003C/p>\n\n\n\n\u003Cp>Mr. Yates’ career in construction began in 1960 while he was an engineering student at the University of Mississippi. In 1963, alongside his father, William “Gully” Yates, he co-founded W. G. Yates & Sons Construction Company. Under his leadership, Yates has grown into the largest construction service provider in the State, a position it has held for more than two decades.
