Yates Construction provided construction services for a 633-megawatt combined-cycle power plant at the Stanton Energy Center. The project scope included all underground electrical and mechanical utilities, piping, concrete foundations, structural elements, above-ground mechanical and electrical equipment installation, cooling tower basin and pump structure, instrumentation and controls, start-up, and commissioning. As part of the project scope, Yates installed two GE dual-fuel, natural gas as the primary fuel with low sulfur number two oil as a backup, turbines and generators, two Deltac heat recovery steam generators, an Alstom steam turbine and generator, two inlet filter houses, all other ancillary equipment, electrical equipment and wiring, all instruments and controls, all piping and valves, all structural steel, insulation, and painting.
