Yates Construction Enhances Its Relationship with Jackson State University
December 3, 2014, Jackson, MS – Bill Yates, chairman of The Yates Companies, Inc., and William Yates, president and CEO of Yates Construction, presented a gift to Jackson State University (JSU) President Dr. Carolyn W. Meyers to help establish an enduring partnership with the University. One of Yates Construction’s objectives is to diversify the company by recruiting and hiring talented graduates. Bill and William Yates said the relationship with JSU is essential and stressed the importance of preparing students for the future: “This gives our company a chance to grow with a major institution and potentially add employees from the student body.” JSU and Yates officials say they hope the efforts forged by this partnership will create an enduring relationship that will enrich both institutions.
