Yates Construction provided construction services for the LEED® Gold Certified Advanced Individual Training Barracks and Company Operations Facility. This design-build project consists of 150 bedrooms, administrative offices, computer learning centers, laundry rooms, weapons cleaning areas, an arms vault, and an indoor exercise area with fitness equipment. This project also included an outside, covered assembly area for equipment maintenance; a training preparation area; outdoor boot wash areas; pedestrian and troop formation sidewalks; outdoor physical fitness training areas; and parking. Sustainable features included energy conservation measures, reuse and recycling of at least 50 percent of construction and demolition waste, maximum use of natural lighting, stormwater management, and erosion and sedimentation controls.
