Bill Yates Honored by World Trade Center
William G. (Bill) Yates, Jr. and The Yates Companies, Inc. were awarded the 2012 Tozzoli International Business Leadership Award by the Mississippi World Trade Center at their annual meeting and international awards luncheon held Thursday, November 15, 2012. Since founding Yates almost five decades ago, Bill has led the company to become one of the top construction providers in the U.S. and internationally with offices located across nine U.S. states and in Mexico. The company has additional experience in Canada, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Russia, China, and India.
The award is presented to exceptional firms, organizations, and individuals for excellence in the development of international business leadership. Yates was chosen for its community and entrepreneurial spirit and for its international expertise, success in world trade, professionalism, and a willingness to share information with other Mississippi businesses so they may become more profitable in today’s global economy.
