Work-Life Balance

Vacation/Sick

A salaried employee will be eligible for two weeks of paid vacation and one week of paid sick leave after his/her 90-day probationary period.  The vacation and sick leave must be taken in the year worked.  Vacation/sick time will be tracked on a calendar year basis. After ten years of service, salaried employees will be eligible for an additional one week of paid vacation up to a total of three weeks.

Jury Duty

Yates expects all colleagues to perform their civic duty to participate in the Judicial Process when called upon. Yates will pay the difference of up to a maximum of 8 hours per the Yates Jury Duty policy.

Medical

Yates offers employees a choice of Major Medical Plan or a Bronze Plan. The plan features a prescription plan and copays.

Dental

Dental coverage allows employees to visit any licensed dentist, however, you will receive greater benefits if you use a Delta Dental PPO dentist. The plan features 100% UCR coverage for Preventive and Diagnostic Care (routine exams, most x-rays and cleanings), 80% UCR Basic Treatment (fillings, root canals), 50% UCR for Major Treatment such as crowns, bridges, and dentures.

Vision

Vision coverage allows employees to receive eye exams, glasses and non-disposable contact lenses at low co-payments or discounts. Employees are not required to visit a participating doctor for benefits; however, using a non-network provider will affect the level of benefit received.

MD LIVE

Yates has selected MDLIVE to provide you with 24/7/365 access to Board Certified doctors via secure video, phone or email. This service is confidential and free of charge!

HealthCheck 360

Yates supports the good health of its employees by offering free health screenings and other health-enhancing activities.

Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)

Dealing with the pressures of everyday life (family, relationships, work, and finances) can sometimes require professional assistance. The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provides a resource for Yates employees and their families to improve and maintain their physical and emotional well-being through professional counseling.

Cancer Insurance from Colonial Life helps bridge the gap left by medical and disability insurance by providing funds for additional out-of-pocket expenses. The program pays you for the initial diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

Accident

Accident Insurance from Colonial Life helps bridge the gap left by medical and disability insurance by providing funds for additional out-of-pocket expenses. The program pays you for the initial diagnosis and treatment of injuries sustained in an accident.

Critical Illness

Flexible Spending Accounts

Yates employees are offered the opportunity to enroll in flexible spending accounts for dependent care and healthcare expenses. Flexible spending accounts are tax-free accounts that can be set up for a calendar year to pay for eligible dependent care and/or healthcare expenses. These plans are exempt from state and federal taxes.

Life Insurance

Yates offers several life insurance options.

Short-Term Disability

An employee who becomes disabled due to pregnancy, injury or illness, may be eligible for up to twenty-six weeks of paid short-term disability. This benefit is provided with a receipt of medical certification and determination of a qualified disability.

Coverage is offered by Mutual of Omaha (2 options):

  • Flat $200 weekly benefits, or
  • 60% of your weekly income.

Employee Referral Program

Yates is always looking to hire great people. As an incentive to bring new employees to Yates, the Yates Employee Referral Program rewards employees who refer a friend or relative for a current job opening with $1,000 – $5,000 depending on the type of placement.

Retirement / 401(k)

Yates employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan administered by Empower. Employees who are over the age of 50 are eligible to participate in the catch-up contribution, which increases the annual deferral limit for those who qualify.
