Yates Construction provided construction services for Delta Downs Racetrack and Casino Renovations. This facility captures the spirit, style and charm of New Orleans with a dynamic mix of gaming excitement, horse racing action and pageantry, multi-screen off-track betting, live entertainment, and a variety of restaurants. The 15,000 SF renovations included a clay and limestone base six-furlong oval track with two chutes, a 550-yard quarter horse chute and a five-furlong and one and one-sixteenth-mile thoroughbred chute. The stretch at Delta Downs Race Track is 660 yards in length and 80 feet in width. The width of backstretch and turns is 70 feet. The track is banked with a five percent rise down straight-a-way and ten percent incline on turns. In addition to the racing track, the facility has stabling facilities for 1,200 horses. There are 20 barns with 60 stalls and ten track rooms in each.
