Yates Construction provided preconstruction and construction management services on the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Lafourche, Louisiana. The 134,000, 600-bed facility features an open floor plan for increased security and consists of administrative, kitchen, laundry, maintenance, medical, and bookkeeping areas. Additionally, the facility includes classroom instruction areas for education, mental health, medical care, jail ministry/religion, drug and alcohol use/dependency, family support systems, domestic violence, technical/vocational, and other meaningful alternatives. The project is anticipated to receive LEED certification through its sustainable design, energy efficiency, and extracurricular farming and compost programs.
