Yates Construction provided construction services for the Mississippi Coast Coliseum project. This facility was designed to reflect its coastal surroundings and evoke memories of water, and includes a standing seam roof with a wave effect that flows into the terrazzo flooring throughout the facility. The building further enhances the coastal theme through several outer perimeter building beams which resemble fishing gear. The overall 260,000 SF expansion also contains 153 floor boxes that contain power, low voltage cable, water, and sewer, providing exhibitors with better access to individual booth needs. The coliseum’s exterior includes 197 new parking spaces and 10 additional spaces for semi-trucks.
