Yates Construction provided construction services for the Oak Haven Housing project. The project consists of an onsite community center/office and 80 single-story duplex units. These homes replace the Housing Authority’s units which were destroyed in Hurricane Katrina. The new energy efficient homes are designed to withstand hurricane force winds. These features will result in lower per-unit operating costs for the Housing Authority. Other services provided included all new underground utilities, infrastructure such as streets and curbs, and street lights.
