Yates Construction provided construction services for the Unit A, 633 megawatt combined cycle power plant at the Stanton Energy Center. This Greenfield project included underground electrical and mechanical utilities, piping, concrete foundations, structural, above ground mechanical and electrical equipment installation, cooling tower basin and pump structure, instrumentation, controls, start-up, and commissioning. Also, Yates Construction installed two GE dual fuel (natural gas as the primary fuel with low sulfur #2 oil as a backup) turbines and generators, two Deltac heat recovery steam generators, an Alstom steam turbine and generator, two inlet filter houses, all other ancillary equipment, electrical equipment and wiring, all instruments and controls, all piping and valves, all structural steel, insulation, and painting.
