Yates Construction Celebrates Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel’s Grand Opening
Eagle Pass, TX – Recently, Yates Construction celebrated the official grand opening of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel Expansion. As part of the Phase I – Capital Improvement Program, this project included the construction of a new 250-room hotel and the expansion/renovation of the existing Lucky Eagle Casino. Combined, these facilities include restaurants, retail, meeting rooms, fitness center, center bar, stage, 1,000 additional land-based parking spaces, and water and sewer infrastructure upgrades. The casino expansion is approximately 99,000 SF and includes 2,500 gaming machines, a new poker room, main cages, fine dining, players club, and VIP lounge.
Over 200 local dignitaries, civic and business leaders, and casino patrons joined in celebrating the grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony and festivities. Luis Galnares, Project Manager, provided guests with the construction details, thanked all the persons involved in the construction of the hotel, and presented two watercolor paintings to the Kickapoo Tribe depicting the Old Casino Façade and the New Casino Hotel. Following the ribbon-cutting, guests were provided tours of the new Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino Hotel and treated to refreshments.
