Yates Construction Participates in the Annual Engineering Showcase at the McWane Science Center
Birmingham, AL, February 13, 2014 -Yates Construction volunteers had fun participating in the annual Engineering Showcase at the McWane Science Center. Yates volunteers built an alcohol-water distillation model that included a recycled cooling water loop, tubing, valves, instruments, tanks, lights, and structural support system to illustrate the role each engineering discipline plays in an industrial design project. Several hundred kids of all ages attended the event and were able to ask questions, engage, and connect to learn more about how engineers make a difference in our world.
